Hi, I'm Hannah, here's a few things about me
For me, day to day life is a muddle of family, friendship, walks, Yoga, journaling, writing, and occasional sea swims. I’m a writer and home keeper — fresh meals and family health are a priority.
My weaknesses are pancakes and charity shopping.
I’m married with two children (and a dog). Mostly, we’re home together, but my husband’s an actor, so he’s often away, filming in exotic places. I have six nieces and one nephew.
We are fortunate to have an apartment in the Alps. So, when we can, we escape to the mountains for hiking, sledging, skiing, and more. I love writing in the mountains surrounded by nature.
I’m a spiritual person and place my faith in the hands of Ayurveda and my higher power. When I lose my way I write. I always write with my higher power in mind — and when I do, life improves, not matter what.

I never leave home without notebook & pen
I never used to think of myself as a writer. But in my own way, I’ve always written. I have piles of notebooks at home, all crammed with various mental and emotional outpours. And, when I haven’t found right the words, I’ve doodled instead.
Most of my writing represents the times in my life when I’ve struggled to cope. Writing has been a beacon of hope in my darkest hours.
Nowadays, when life is challenging — I write. When I need clarity on anything — I write. I write every day. And, I really don’t need to write much, or for very long, to feel the benefits.
Every journal has been a best friend, a confidante. The words inside my journals reflect the impressions in my mind. They have guided me, and shown me the invaluable truth in every situation.

I fell head-over-heels in love with my husband
Over twelve years ago, I met my wonderful husband, and together we embarked on family life. We were blessed with two beautiful children and I’ve been in my element taking care of my family. And, I’m proud to say, our family is enriched by neurodiversity.
The summer before we met, I discovered Ayurveda. It proved to be an invaluable guide. Ayurveda became a path I trusted and believed in. Perfect for prioritising family health and navigating neurodiversity.
During that time, I studied Ayurveda, wrote about Ayurveda, and invited Ayurveda into our home. I learned about myself and explored several branches of writing, including creative writing and journal therapy.
My life transformed as I gained confidence and a sense of purpose. Who I was before Ayurveda, was a very different story.

Despite my efforts, something was missing
Until I found Ayurveda, I felt quite lost and disorientated. As a young adult, my life felt messy and unstable. I felt this most acutely as others around me found their path — but I fell further behind.
The cost of living in London and my attempts to keep up with others, only made things worse. I had bravado and cojones, but lacked confidence and commitment. I had no money, no work, no boyfriend, and no fixed abode. I was miserable.
Forced to admit defeat, I moved home to my parents. Enticed by the trend in property developing, I started an apprenticeship in plumbing and heating engineering. It was an unusual decision but it kind of worked. Life improved, I had a plan, and I was committed.
But despite my efforts, deep down, I still felt something was missing — I just didn’t know what.

From small town to worldly, from rags to riches
By my mid-twenties, I was qualified, back living and working in London — but still crippled by debt. It was making me ill, and I had to take action.
Letting go of the debt I had accumulated over the years was a hard lesson to learn — a definite rock bottom.
But, to my surprise, it was also a time of personal and spiritual growth. A year after declaring bankruptcy, an opportunity came up, to star in a property tv series, in the UAE. An all expenses paid trip of a life-time.
We filmed for three months and after the show I continued working in the UAE. One day, driving between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I passed a huge billboard promoting the show — that show was my fifteen minutes of fame and fortune.
Eighteen months on, I felt the urge to go home. But before I left, I took a four hour flight to Mysore in India, where I stayed for eight weeks.

Discovering the something that was missing
Like the UAE, India was also incredible. Very different, but just as vibrant. It was colourful, atmospheric, and bustling with life.
On one of my days in India, I bought a book with a shiny green cover. When I started reading those pages, I just couldn’t stop. In them, I found out what had been missing in my life.
Discovering Ayurveda was an aha! moment. My mind filled with the type of knowledge I’d been yearning for — without even knowing it. I started to feel fulfilled in an altogether different way.
The experience of discovering Ayurveda was profound because it felt familiar — like a distant memory being gently brought back into focus. It was like re-learning a knowledge of life that had — once-upon-a-time — been known to me.

I started my blog on Ayurveda & journaling
Back in the UK, Ayurveda and writing were two separate passions growing alongside family life. They eventually came together when I realised I could share Ayurveda through my love of writing — they didn’t have to be separate.
As I deepened my knowledge of Ayurveda and gained experience with different writing techniques, I came up with mindful writing, based on Ayurvedic psychology and journal therapy.
As I delved deeper into the different aspects of running a blog, things started coming together.
With a clear and compassionate understanding of life through the lens of Ayurveda — and a long-term relationship with my own notebook and pen — I started to invest in the idea that Ayurveda & journaling could benefit others.
