Searching for My Path
As a young adult, life seemed messy and uncertain. While friends around me were finding their path, I felt like I was falling behind.
Living in London didn’t help — the pressure to keep up with everyone else just made things harder. On the outside, I tried to act brave, but inside I struggled. I had no money, no stable job, no boyfriend, and no real place to call home. I was miserable.
Eventually, I had to move back in with my parents. Hoping to get back on track, I started an apprenticeship in plumbing and heating. It was an unusual choice, but it gave me structure, direction, and a sense of progress.
Even with progress, I sensed an emptiness I couldn’t explain. It was confusing — I was doing all the “right” things, but it still felt like something was missing.

Bankruptcy, Billboards, & Big Adventure
By my mid-twenties, I was back in London, working and qualified — but I was drowning in debt. It made me sick with stress, and I knew I had to face it. Hitting rock bottom wasn’t easy, but it taught me a tough, important lesson.
Surprisingly, that low point also opened the door to growth. About a year later, I was invited to star in a property TV series in the UAE — an all-expenses-paid adventure of a lifetime.
We filmed for three months, and afterwards I stayed on to work there. One day, driving between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I spotted a massive billboard advertising the show. For a moment, it felt surreal — like I was famous. But even with my face on a billboard, I couldn’t ignore the feeling that something important was still missing.
Eighteen months later, I felt the pull to go home — but before I did, I wanted one last adventure. I booked a flight to Mysore, India. It was a short trip, but those eight weeks turned into the kind of journey that changes everything.

When the Adventure Turned Inward
India was incredible — so different from the UAE, but just as full of colour, energy, and life. Everywhere I looked, the streets buzzed with colours, sounds, fragrances, and people.
One day, I picked up a book with a shiny green cover. From the moment I opened it, I couldn’t put it down. Page by page, I realised I was finally uncovering the missing piece of my life.
That book introduced me to Ayurveda. It was a huge aha! moment — like my mind had been waiting for this knowledge all along. For the first time, I felt a deep sense of fulfilment, as if everything was starting to make sense.
Discovering Ayurveda was powerful because it felt strangely familiar, like remembering something I’d always known but had somehow forgotten. Ayurveda was what I’d been searching for all along.

Family, Balance, and Becoming Me
When I returned to the UK, I met my husband, and together we began our family adventure. We were blessed with two amazing children, and I’ve loved caring for them and creating a home where we all feel safe and supported.
Just before I met my husband, I discovered Ayurveda — an ancient system of health and balance. It quickly became a guide I could trust, helping me keep my family well and giving me tools for navigating life’s ups and downs, including the unique strengths and challenges of neurodiversity.
As I studied and practiced Ayurveda, I also began writing about it, exploring creative writing, and even journal therapy. Through all of this, I learned more about myself than I ever expected. My life changed in ways that gave me confidence, purpose, and a clearer sense of who I truly am.

Writing My Way to Balance
Two passions grew side by side: Ayurveda and writing.
At first, I thought of them as separate parts of my life — but then I realised I could bring them together. I could share Ayurveda through the thing I already loved most: writing.
The more I studied Ayurveda, the more I saw how it wasn’t just about food or health — it was also about understanding the mind and emotions. That’s when journaling started to feel more powerful.
Writing down my thoughts wasn’t only about getting feelings onto the page; it became a way of caring for myself, staying balanced, and noticing patterns in my wellbeing — all ideas that connected back to Ayurveda.
As I explored blogging and all the creative skills that came with it, the pieces began to fall into place. With my notebook always by my side, and a growing belief in the power of Ayurveda, I began to see how writing and Ayurveda together could support others, just as they had supported me.

Me, Mountains, Magic, & Everyday Life
Nowadays, my life is filled with family, friends, journaling, walks, yoga, writing, and the occasional splash in the sea.
At home, I love cooking fresh meals and making sure my family are happy and healthy.
I have our two children, six nieces, one nephew, and our dog! so there’s always a lot of fun and laughter around.
My husband is an actor, which means sometimes he’s away filming in far-off places, but most of the time we’re all together at home.
Some of my favourite things are pancakes and browsing through second hand shops for hidden treasures.
Whenever we can, we travel to our apartment in the Alps. I love hiking, sledging, skiing, and especially writing in the mountains, surrounded by nature.
Writing is my way of finding balance. Whenever life feels messy, I turn to my notebook.

Why I Carry a Notebook Everywhere
I never thought of myself as a writer, but looking back, I guess I always was. My shelves are piled high with notebooks — filled with thoughts, feelings, and the kind of messy scribbles only I can understand. On days when words didn’t come, I doodled instead, letting my pen wander across the page.
Journaling has always been more than just writing things down. In my hardest moments, it became my lifeline. A place where I could spill everything without fear of being judged. A few sentences, even just a handful of words, could help me breathe easier and find a little light in the dark.
But what I didn’t realize at first was how journaling connected me to something greater — a higher power inside myself, a higher consciousness. When I write, I tap into that quiet wisdom that already lives within me. It’s like every notebook has been both a best friend and a guide, helping me uncover truths I didn’t know I carried and reminding me that I’m never really lost.
