Power Journal

(exploring power, control, and surrender)

A space for exploring power and control—both the strength you hold and the moments when it’s wiser to let go.

Through writing, you can notice where you feel strong or powerless, reflect on your choices, and uncover patterns in your reactions.

Over time, this journal helps you recognize when action is needed, when surrender brings peace, and builds self-awareness, confidence, and trust in your own judgment.

Journaling Prompts:

  • Where do you feel strong or in charge in your life right now? Why?

  • Write about a time when letting go of control made you feel calm or happy.

  • What kinds of situations make you want to be in control?

  • When have you surprised yourself by being stronger than you thought?

  • What does “letting go” mean to you? Does it feel scary or freeing?

  • Write about a time when you trusted someone else to take the lead—how did it feel?

  • Where do you feel stuck or resistant, and what do you think it’s protecting?

  • Write a letter to your fear of losing control—what would you like to say to it?

  • What things help you feel steady or safe when life feels uncertain?

  • Write about a time you couldn’t control what was happening—what did you learn?

  • How does your body feel when you feel strong? How about when you feel powerless?

  • Where could you try trusting more—in yourself, others, or life?
